The Cecierj Foundation, linked to the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio de Janeiro, has opened registrations for free courses in Professional qualification. The 2024 notice offers several opportunities for those who want to improve their skills in areas such as administration, marketing, data science and sustainability, among others. In total, there are more than 4.500 vacancies distributed in courses taught in distance learning (EAD) mode, providing greater flexibility for participants. Registration is open until September 19th, 2024, and the selection will be made by public draw.
Os online courses aim to train professionals with specific skills, preparing them for the job market. The workload varies from 150 to 180 hours, depending on the course chosen, and the content is offered 100% remotely, allowing students access to virtual classes, discussion forums, seminars and assessments.
Among the options offered are free online courses such as Financial management, Leadership Management, Power BI, ESG and Corporate Sustainability, among others. Each online course is designed to be completed within a three-month period, and students will have access to teaching materials and technical support.

Available vacancies and locations
are offered 300 vacancies for each of the available courses, totaling 4.500 vacancies. All free courses will be held remotely, facilitating access for candidates from different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Participants will have the flexibility to study at home, using digital platforms developed by the Cecierj Foundation.

Selection Processes
O raffle of vacancies will be carried out based on the Federal Lottery numbers, and the selected candidates will be automatically enrolled in the courses for which they applied.
The notice provides for the reservation of vacancies for affirmative action, serving candidates from specific groups, such as low-income individuals and participants in the Single Registry. The selection process will be carried out by electronic drawing, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all applicants. There are no tests or assessments for admission; classification will be made solely by public drawing, which reinforces the accessibility of the process.
Registration Requirements
The requirements to participate in the selection process include:
- Minimum age of 16 years (some courses require a minimum age of 18)
- Complete primary education
- Access to a computer or cell phone with internet
- Basic knowledge of internet navigation
- Active email without antispam filters
Furthermore, it is important that candidates are available to dedicate around three hours per week to the activities proposed in the course, which include interactions in forums and collaborative knowledge construction.
Registrations
Registrations are made exclusively online, through the official Cecierj Foundation page, at the link https://www.cecierj.edu.br/extensao. The registration period runs until September 19th, 2024. After registering, the candidate must follow the results announcement and be aware of the deadlines. All courses are Services and, at the end, those approved will receive a professional qualification certificate issued by the Cecierj Foundation, valid throughout the national territory.
