Free distance learning courses promote learning about Afro-Brazilian culture, addressing topics such as quilombos, decoloniality and black intellectuals
In celebration of Black Awareness Month, Sesc Santa Catarina has launched a series of free distance learning courses that promote and celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture. The courses are part of the Afrocultura project, which seeks not only to pay homage to African influence in Brazilian society, but also to offer a deeper insight into topics such as decoloniality, quilombola resistance and the lives of black intellectuals. Registration is now open and offers a unique opportunity for learning and reflection on the contributions of black culture in the formation of Brazil.
With this initiative, Sesc reaffirms its commitment to anti-racist education, providing content that goes beyond academic aspects and seeks to promote social transformation. In partnership with experts and historians, the project also offers lectures and discussion groups, providing a space for dialogue and reflection on the impact of African roots in the current context.

How the selection process works
To participate in Sesc's free distance learning courses, interested parties need simply register on the Sesc SC EaD platform.
