The free course “Training in Monitoring and Evaluation for Social Control in the SUS”, developed by the National Health Council (CNS) in partnership with Fiocruz and UFMT, is available open for subscriptions. Aimed at counselors and workers of the Unified Health System (SUS), the training offers theoretical and practical tools to monitor and evaluate public health policies efficiently.
The initiative, conceived during the 16th National Health Conference, seeks to strengthen social control, training participants to act in the supervision of deliberations and actions planned in the SUS. With scheduled to start in March, the free course will be offered through the Fiocruz Virtual Campus, allowing easy access to all interested parties.
Modular structure and detailed content
The free training course is organized into three modules:

Each module combines theory and practice, designed to prepare counselors to follow through on health conference resolutions and deliberations.

The proposal also emphasizes the importance of social control in the public policy cycle, from formulation and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
With this training, the CNS hopes that health advisors at all levels – municipal, state and national – will be able to act in a more active and informed manner, ensuring that the deliberations of the health conferences are effectively applied and monitored.
