The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) opened registrations for the 2025 Selection Process for Subsequent Technical Courses. With 800 vacancies distributed across different campuses, this is an opportunity for those seeking free and recognized professional qualification. The notice offers free technical courses aimed at the job market, ensuring continued training and practical specializations.

Free technical courses aim to train students for professional practice in various areas, meeting market demands. Classes will be held in person at the Instituto Federal-IFRN campuses, with workload adapted to each course. During the program, students participate in practical and theoretical classes, seminars and assessments.

Available vacancies and locations

The Federal Institute-IFRN offers a total of 800 vacancies, distributed among campuses located in several cities in Rio Grande do Norte, such as Apodi, Mossoró, Natal (Historic Center, North and Central Zones), Nova Cruz and Parnamirim. Each campus offers different courses in different shifts, ensuring ample availability for candidates.

Selection processes

Half of the qualifying vacancies are for candidates who completed their entire high school education in public schools, in accordance with the Quota Law (Law No. 12.711/2012). The selection process will be carried out by electronic drawing, ensuring transparency. In addition, there are specific vacancies for people with disabilities and ethnic-racial groups, such as blacks, browns, indigenous people and quilombolas.

Application requirements

To participate, candidates must have a high school graduation certificate and provide proof of affirmative action documentation if they apply for reserved spots. Registration on the candidate portal is required, and those who do not have internet access may register at the Instituto Federal-IFRN campuses during opening hours.

Free technical courses include options such as Agriculture, Electrical Engineering, IT, Mechanics, Sanitation, Mining, Occupational Safety, Events, Tourist Guide, Administration, Mechatronics, and Computer Networks, among others.

Selection process schedule

  • Registration: 23/01/2025 to 10/02/2025
  • Authorization request: until 02/02/2025
  • Final Result: 19/03/2025
  • Online pre-registration: 21/03/2025 to 24/03/2025
  • Remaining vacancies: from 26/03/2025

Registration for technical courses

Applications must be made by IFRN Candidate Portal until February 10, 2025.

To participate in the qualification selection process, the candidate must follow the following steps:

  • Registration on the Candidate Portal: access the Competition Management System (SGC), create an account with the requested data and activate the registration via the link sent to the email provided.
  • Registration for the selection process: log in to the system, select the desired competition, fill in the requested information and confirm registration.
