O Professional Master's Degree in Arts (PROFARTES), recognized by CAPES/MEC, opened 317 vacancies for entry into first half of 2026, with inscriptions between October 1st and 30rd, 2025.
The selection is governed by the PROFARTES Notice No. 04/2025 and executed by Institute of Arts of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU).
The process will take place in two elimination stages, and the final list of qualified candidates will be announced after 18:15 PM on December 2025, XNUMX.

Who can apply
The exam is aimed at teachers teaching the subject of Art in Basic Education with Full Degree in any of the artistic languages or in related areas, in a course recognized by MECH.
The notice establishes priority for graduates of Bachelor's degrees in Art.
Candidates with related training may apply according to the rules of each associated institution.
Proof of classroom performance is mandatory upon enrollment.
Course format and objectives
with duration of 24 months e 420h of activities, PROFARTES is a program stricto sensu that qualifies teachers to strengthen the bridge between pedagogical practice and academic research in Art.
The load is distributed in 360 hours in person e 60 hours distance, preserving the centrality of the school as a space for research and intervention.
National coordination and network
A national coordination of PROFARTES is housed at UFU, which also organizes the National Access Exam in conjunction with the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) associates.
The network brings together 15 IES distributed throughout the country, ensuring regional capillarity and local execution of the course.
Lines of research in arts education
The area of concentration is Arts Education, structured in two lines.
The first, Teaching, learning and creative processes in the arts, investigates formative practices and their connections with Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theater, including media developments.
The second, Theoretical-methodological approaches to teaching practices, examines relationships between theory, methodology and classroom experimentation in different artistic languages.

As 317 vacancies are distributed among the HEIs associated with the program, including IFG, UDESC, UNESP, UFAM/UEA, UFBA, UnB, UFC, UFMA, UFMG, UFPA, UFPB, UFRN, UFU, UFMS e URCA.

In case of non-completion of the site, the The Board of Directors may reallocate vacancies among the associates.
Selection stages and criteria
The selection has character eliminatory in two phases.
