The Pecém port complex, in Ceará, celebrates the record shipment of a giant 80,1 meter wind turbine for the German Nordex — one of the largest manufacturers of wind energy turbines in the world!
It is impressive the size of the wind blade (or propellers) manufactured by Aeris Energy for the German Nordex — one of the largest wind power turbine manufacturers in the world! The shipment of the first unit of this giant — the largest wind turbine ever produced in the southern hemisphere — involved a specialized operation. The more than 80 meters in length required the involvement of several professionals, from manufacturing to transport to the Port of Pecém, in Ceará.

The wind blade (or propellers) shipment record giant of 80,1 meters for the German Nordex is celebrated by the Port Complex of Pecém, in Ceará, as the largest in the history of Porto!
“This time, we surpassed ourselves, we broke our own record this Tuesday (11) by embarking an incredible 80,1 meter wind turbine! A Nordex giant produced in the Industrial Area of Complexo do Pecém and shipped from berth 7 of the port terminal in Pecém, after a successful test operation carried out jointly by our operational service providers Tecer and Unilink. Just to give you an idea... this giant has more than twice as many blades as the other blades (34,57m each) on board the Trinitas ship, which is already on its way to Europe, where the 80,1 meter blade will undergo technical checks”, celebrates Complexo do Pecém, on its LinkedIn social network.

The wind blade (or propellers) is more than twice as long as the other blades (34,57 m each) shipped on the Trinitas vessel, and is already on its way to Europe, where the blade will undergo technical checks, according to the complex's managing company.
The blade was produced by Aeris Energy – a pioneering company in the manufacturing process of this model of blade, currently installed in the industrial area of Complexo do Pecém, under order of the German Nordex, considered one of the largest manufacturers of wind energy turbines in the world.
The operation involved professionals from some of the companies that operate in Pecém, from the blade manufacturer to transport companies. A challenge that demanded a lot of dedication from the entire team, after all, the port had never shipped a wind blade with these dimensions.
Today, the blades produced by Aeris Energy are exported, but they are also shipped to several wind farms in Brazil through the Port of Pecém. Last year, the company produced almost two thousand blades, a record for the company that operates since 2010 in Complexo do Pecém.
Aeris manufactured a giant 74-meter shovel in March for Vestas, until then, the largest ever manufactured by the company and also shipped from the Port of Pecém
In March 2020, a 74-meter blade was shipped, which also required the involvement of several professionals, from manufacturing to transporting the wind giant to the Port of Pecém.
The blade (or propeller) was also produced by Aeris Energy, under order of Vestas, considered the world's largest producer of wind energy turbines and shipped on the ship Erik, which continued its journey of approximately ten days to the port of Boston, located in the United States.
Approximately R$ 100 million was invested in infrastructure, equipment and process development with modern project management tools. Over almost a year, more than 30 company professionals were involved in the manufacturing process of the prototype of the new product, completed in August 2020.
The blades (or propellers) give movement to wind turbines, also known as wind turbines or wind generation systems, equipment that transforms wind energy into electrical energy.
Vortex bladeless turbines could revolutionize wind farms and change the world of renewable energy
Vortex Bladeless, a technology start-up based in Spain, is developing wind turbines that don't need blades (or propellers). One of the objectives is to be able to use these turbines in urban and residential spaces, where the impact of ecological parks would be too great. Similar to a “giant straw”, according to its creators, it came to change the world of renewable energy.
Turbine without blades (or propellers) could be the future of wind and renewable energy. Vortex Bladeless claims that the turbine is not a danger to bird migration patterns, or to wildlife, especially if used in urban environments. Additionally, he claims that the noise created would be at a frequency practically undetectable to humans.
