Movag, a company from the Andrade Gutierrez Group specialized in mining services, celebrated an strategic agreement with XCMG, the third largest global manufacturer of heavy equipment. The partnership aims to create competitive solutions in the sector and contribute to the growth of both companies. The signing ceremony took place in São Paulo, with the presence of key leaders, including the president of XCMG, Yang Dongsheng, and the CEO of Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia, João Martins.
The agreement with Andrade Gutierrez establishes strategic and tactical actions to strengthen competitiveness, performance and capacity operational in activities that disable heavy equipment such as excavators and off-road trucks. Furthermore, the companies collaborated on the development of solutions for decarbonization and energy transition in the mining sector.

The agreement between Andrade Gutierrez and XCMG also aims to ensure greater agility in the mobilization and readiness of equipment. The starter pack will include XDE130 off-road trucks, of 130 tons, and XE2000 excavators, of 200 tons, scheduled to arrive in the first half of 2024.
XCMG, in line with its global strategy, seeks to expand its presence in the mining market, offering a diverse range of products, from excavators of up to 700 tons to off-road trucks of up to 400 tons. The President of XCMG expressed confidence that this partnership will significantly contribute to achieving its objectives in the Brazilian market.
