BYD's new factory is expected to create more than 10 jobs by 2025, with ambitious plans to generate 20 direct and indirect jobs in the coming years.

BYD announced on Monday (2) that it plans to generate more than 10 jobs for workers at its factory in Camaçari, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (RMS), between January and August 2025. In total, the forecast now is that the new BYD factory will generate a total of 20 direct and indirect jobs, according to projections from the Chinese company.

Understand how hiring for BYD job openings is distributed

Starting in January, the Chinese brand is expected to announce details of the hiring program for jobs at the new BYD factory. The schedule foresees the opening of 2 job vacancies in January, 3 in May and 5 in August. Those approved in the empregos will be for different areas of the new production unit.

According to Stella Li, CEO Americas and Europe and global executive vice president of BYD, by creating 10 jobs, the company is not only boosting the local economy, but also contributing to the development of a greener and more efficient value chain.

BYD is transforming Camaçari into Silicon Valley of Latin America. The company is building a large R&D center, training local engineers and technicians to lead in innovation.

During the event, a technical visit to the construction site of BYD's new factory in Camaçari, the company presented its new flex engine for super hybrid models, which will be able to combine electric battery technology with ethanol. BYD also announced a new sales record in Brazil, with 12.308 vehicles sold.

BYD already has 150 dealerships in all states

According to Alexandre Baldy, Senior Vice President of BYD in Brazil and Head of Sales and Marketing at BYD Auto, the goal is to strengthen BYD among the three best-selling brands in the country over the next five years. The company expects a continued increase in sales of hybrid and electric models, in line with market growth and the expansion of its infrastructure in Brazil, generating thousands of jobs. Currently, in addition to the new BYD factory, the brand already has 150 dealerships in all states.

The meeting at the new BYD factory was attended by the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, the Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho, Senator Jaques Wagner (PT-BA), the Governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues and the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Márcio Elias Rosa. Earlier, the Minister of the Civil House and the Governor of Bahia accompanied a technical visit to the construction site of the factory in Camaçari.

Chinese automaker also grows in sales of electric vehicles

In addition to generating 10 jobs, BYD is also growing its sales in the Brazilian market. According to a report by Bright Consulting, which recorded 16.947 registrations in November alone, reaching 7,0% of total registrations, an increase of 7,9% compared to October (15.709) and 61,2% compared to November 2023.

With 2.294 units, the Dolphin Mini is BYD's cheapest electric car and the best-selling this month. Its starting price is R$119.800 for the five-passenger option and R$115.800 for the version approved for four people.

Another successful BYD model, this time a PHEV hybrid, the song Pro managed to sell 2.084 units in November. Offered in two versions, the SUV has capacity for up to 5 passengers and is very comfortable for travel.

Welcome to Chinese industry and investments. Better late than never. Brazil took too long and lost several opportunities due to some unpatriotic politicians. Fortunately, we are able to look at China as a friendly nation.

Well, since the Chinese have seen that they can enslave and torture workers in Brazil, now they will make very poor quality products almost for free.
Ultimately, anyone who supports and buys Chinese products supports the torture and slavery of workers.

Go BYD... thank God... Cars with Technology and at a low price... All that's missing is for the government to reduce the tax burden... That's obviously almost impossible with the current government.
