Google launches new free courses in São Paulo: more than 2,5 vacancies in Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the State Government.
An initiative of the Department of Economic Development, the Qualifica SP – Novo Emprego Program is opening applications for 2,5 vacancies in free courses focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), in partnership with Google Cloud and the Fundação Apoio à Tecnologia (FAT). These free Artificial Intelligence courses are a great opportunity for those who want to enter a sector that continues to grow.
Free Google Artificial Intelligence Courses
Offered online, Google Cloud's free courses present, in three modules, an overview of the concepts of generative artificial intelligence, from the fundamentals of large language models to the principles of responsibility.
There are 50 hours of free Artificial Intelligence courses, which can be taken over a month and a half and are divided into 30 hours of program content, 12 hours of tutoring and eight hours of socio-emotional skills.

For Google's free Artificial Intelligence courses, you must have a Desktop or Notebook Computer with internet access, basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows, Programming and Computer Networks, be at least 18 years old on the date of registration and take and be classified in the classification test.
Upon completing the free Google Cloud courses and meeting all requirements, students will be invited to participate in the Job Fair, an event with internship and job offers that will take place in November.
How to enroll in free artificial intelligence courses?
Enrollment in free Google Cloud courses must be completed via the Qualifica SP website by September 22nd. Residents of the state of São Paulo who are over 18 years old can participate. After registering, candidates for free artificial intelligence courses must take qualifying tests, and will be notified via email.
The demand for qualified professionals in Artificial Intelligence grew 39% between January and April this year compared to the same period last year, according to a survey by recruitment consultancy Michael Page. The survey also indicates that AI specialists' salaries can range from R$15 to R$32.
At the end of each module in the free Google Cloud courses, an assessment will be applied to obtain a Google Cloud skills badge, which represents recognition from the company that the person has knowledge in that specific skill.
Students who obtain the necessary badges and have at least 75% attendance in classes will be able to participate in the Job Fair. job opportunities, a virtual event with internship and job vacancies, promoted by Google Cloud and partner companies, which will take place in November.
