The long-awaited work of Guaratuba Bridge, which promises to transform mobility on the coast of Paraná, has reached 44% physical progress. The project, which connects the cities of Matinhos and Guaratuba, has been celebrated by local residents and merchants, who have been waiting for this structure for more than four decades.

Construction of the Guaratuba Bridge is progressing at a fast pace, with completion scheduled for the first half of 2026. The project currently generates around 630 direct jobs in the region, boosting the local economy and providing new opportunities for workers.
With a length of 1.244 meters, the Guaratuba Bridge will have four traffic lanes, two safety lanes, rigid concrete barriers, sidewalks with cycle paths and guardrails.

The project also includes a 160-meter span, a navigation channel 17 meters high and 90 meters wide, as well as 64 piles that guarantee the stability of the structure.

The total length of the road complex will be 1.826 meters, covering accesses on both sides: 951 meters in Guaratuba and 875 meters in Matinhos. project It also provides a connection with Estrada de Cabaraquara, in Matinhos, further improving the road infrastructure.

With an investment of R$386,9 million made by the government of Paraná, through the Department of Highways (DER), the work on the Guaratuba Bridge is being carried out by the Nova Ponte consortium, formed by the construction companies OEC, Carioca and Goetze Lobato.
Contract director Luciano Pizzatto highlighted that the work is progressing according to schedule and meeting the community's expectations.
