Diageo offers almost 700 places on a free bartender course; the Learning for Life program is focused on training and social inclusion.

Drinks maker Diageo, known for brands such as Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker and Tanqueray, has opened applications for 680 positions in a Free course bartender. The program is part of the Learning for Life project, aimed at training professionals who work in the preparation and service of drinks. Interested parties must register by November 4th and meet certain requirements to participate in the course.

Who can take the free Diageo course?

To apply for one of the vacancies, you must be at least 18 years old and be studying or have completed high school.

O course free is mainly aimed at unemployed people or those who have an income of up to two minimum wages.

Additionally, participants must have access to a computer or cell phone with an internet connection, as classes will be offered online.

Program Opportunities and Benefits

O course Free course offered by Diageo covers the main techniques of mixology, which include the preparation and serving of cocktails and other drinks.

The content also covers important topics for the training of bartenders, such as responsible alcohol consumption, diversity and inclusion, as well as citizenship.

The company highlights that training can be an important step for those who want to enter the hospitality market, whether to seek a new job opportunity or to open their own business.

Gabriel Prudlik, ESG leader at Diageo Brazil, highlights that the program is a unique opportunity for participants to learn from experts in the field.

“Our course offers a unique opportunity to learn from the greatest experts in the field of mixology, the techniques of the profession and important topics such as responsible consumption, diversity and inclusion, as well as citizenship. It is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to enter the hospitality market”, explains Prudlik.

Diageo alumni who have already benefited

Learning for Life has already trained more than 31 professionals, including Rye Komorita, who won the World Class Brasil 2024 cocktail competition.

Komorita reports that the course Diageo's freebie was essential to starting his career as a bartender.

“My first job as a bartender was through an internship we did through the program at a restaurant bar and, right after I graduated, I joined that same restaurant as a bartender,” says the former student.
