A UFPel opened 600 vacancies for courses in Degree in Mathematics e Bachelor’s Degree in Literature – Spanish in mode Distance Education (EaD).
The new thing is that, despite being an EaD format, the course will have mandatory in-person activities in the support centers distributed throughout the state Rio Grande do Sul.
Classes start on the day March 31th, 2025 and can transform the lives of those who wish to enter higher education for free and with the support of a renowned public university.
Both courses have a diversified workload, with the participation of 300 vacancies for each of them.
In other words, there are 600 opportunities for those who dream of studying at a public university, but need flexibility to combine studies with work or other activities.
Distance learning modality with the support you need!
With the partnership between the UFPel, Open University of Brazil (UAB) Program and Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the course offers a high quality training, both for distance learning and in-person students.
The diploma of Bachelor's degree will recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), without any distinction between teaching formats.
Therefore, students who graduate in this modality are guaranteed a valid diploma, the same as those from face-to-face courses.
How to apply for vacancies?
If you are interested and are wondering how to secure your registration, the answer is simple: the process starts in February 2025.
Registration will be open from 03 the 22 February, and you can register online, directly on the website UFPel.
Registration is free and can be done from anywhere, as long as you have internet access.
Registration criteria
The vacancies are intended for those who have already completed or are about to complete high school until March 2025 and resides in the coverage area of the support poles.
Furthermore, anyone who wants to participate in the selection process must provide some documents, such as RG, CPF and self-declaration of ethnicity, if you opt for reserved spaces.
Registration is free, and candidates will be selected through a writing test.
This essay, with an autobiographical theme, will address educational and professional experiences, in addition to expectations for the course.
The writing test: get ready!
A writing test has a significant weight for the selection.
It will be held in person, and candidates will have to write an autobiography, detailing their academic trajectory, professional or community experiences, and their expectations regarding the course.
The essay will be evaluated by an examining board, with grades from 0 to 10, and a minimum grade of 6 to be approved.
In case of a tie, the tiebreaker criterion will be age: whoever is older will have priority.
