Honda's long-awaited hybrid SUV arrives in Brazil

According to the AutoEsporte website, The Brazilian automotive market is about to receive great news: the return of the Honda CR-V SUV, now equipped with powerful hybrid mechanics. With launch scheduled for this first half of the year, the SUV promises to win over consumers looking for energy efficiency and a modern look. Let's explore what we already know about the long-awaited Honda CR-V Hybrid and what we can expect from this new proposal from the Japanese brand.

Design and technology: The new look of the Honda CR-V

Despite maintaining the essence of its predecessor, the CR-V received design updates that bring it closer to premium models, such as the SUVs from Volvo. The rear lights now form an “L” on the trunk lid, adding a touch of sophistication. The front, following Honda's visual identity, features thin headlights connected to the “T” shaped grille. Furthermore, the increase in dimensions provides more internal space, ensuring comfort for drivers and passengers.

Inside, the CR-V offers a refined environment, similar to the Civic, Accord and ZR-V models. Soft-touch coatings, a grill finish on the dashboard and advanced technologies, such as a 12,3-inch multimedia screen and a 10,2-inch digital instrument panel, reinforce Honda's commitment to quality and innovation. The security package Honda Sensing, electronic parking brake and auto-hold system further raise the SUV's technological standard.

Hybrid performance: The powerful mechanics of the Honda CR-V

The heart of the Honda CR-V Hybrid houses a mechanical package similar to that of the renowned Accord. With a 2.0 16V aspirated thermal engine, working on the Atkinson cycle, the SUV delivers 145 horsepower and 17,8 kgfm of torque. Two electric motors, integrated into the e-CVT “gearbox”, guarantee an efficient driving experience.

Four-wheel drive, differentiating itself from the Accord, and the combination of engines electrical and thermal powertrains give the CR-V remarkable performance. While one electric motor acts as a power generator, the second, responsible for traction, delivers 184 hp of power and 34,1 kgfm of torque. The end result is a combined power of 207 hp, offering a smooth and economical drive.

Expectations and positioning in the Brazilian market

The return of the Honda CR-V to Brazil as a hybrid SUV promises to shake up the national automotive market. Although prices have not yet been officially released, considering the Accord's positioning in the R$332.400 range, the CR-V is expected to maintain a competitive price standard. In the face of competitors such as Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Honda seeks to offer an attractive option for consumers who value innovation, efficiency and environmental commitment.

With a renewed design, advanced technology and powerful hybrid mechanics, the Honda CR-V Hybrid promises to be a differentiated choice in the SUV segment. All we can do is wait eagerly for the official launch and take a closer look at all the new features that this long-awaited model will bring to lovers of innovative and sustainable vehicles.
