Faetec and Le Cordon Bleu are offering 44 full scholarships for gastronomy courses in Rio de Janeiro. Applications are open until November 10.

A unique opportunity for young people passionate about gastronomy is on the table! The Technical School Support Foundation (Faetec), in partnership with the renowned Le Cordon Bleu Institute, is offering 44 full scholarships for the Cordontec Vocational Education Course. Registration is now open and will run until November 10th.

The initiative, which aims to democratize access to quality education in the area of ​​gastronomy, is further proof of Faetec's commitment to offering opportunities for young people in Rio de Janeiro.

Classes will be held at the headquarters of Le Cordon Bleu, in Botafogo, one of the most prestigious gastronomy schools in the world.

Who can participate in the selection process?

To participate in the selection process, you must have completed high school, be over 18 years old and have a family income of up to four minimum wages.

The Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Anderson Moraes, highlighted the importance of the course for the development of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

“It is very gratifying to see our students from the Faetec Network enrolling in the professional training course taught by the renowned French gastronomy school Le Cordon Bleu. The students will acquire knowledge and skills that will certainly make a big difference when it comes to seeking a job opportunity in the gastronomy area,” he explained.

How to participate and compete for scholarships?

O selective process will consist of two stages: an objective test in Mathematics and Portuguese and a practical assessment with a video presentation and face-to-face interview.

The objective test will be applied on December 15th and the second stage will take place between January and February 2025.

The result will be announced in March 2025.

A new life in the kitchen

Classes will be taught full time, from Monday to Friday, from 13 pm to 17 pm.

Students will have the opportunity to learn classic and contemporary cooking techniques, as well as develop skills such as organization, creativity and teamwork.

At the end of the course, students will be prepared to enter the job market as chefs, cooks, gastronomic consultants, among other professions.
