Partnership between Senai and the Secretariat offers free technical courses in Blumenau with exclusive vacancies for state high school students; see how to participate
Students from the Blumenau state school system have a unique opportunity to begin their technical training while still in high school: Senai, in partnership with the State Department of Education, has launched a series of free technical courses. These courses aim not only to train young people, but also to facilitate their entry into the job market immediately after completing their studies. With the right to food and transportation, the initiative seeks to support and encourage 1st year high school students to follow a path of technical qualification from an early age.
Registration is now open for five free technical courses, offered during the day. This project is part of the Santa Catarina Technical Program (CaTec), created to expand the supply of technical education in the state, which has already seen a significant increase in the number of enrolled students, rising from 12 to 30 this year. The program aims to provide technical and professional training to students, preparing them for better insertion in the job market.
Courses offered by Senai and the Department of Education
Focusing on areas of high demand in the market, Senai and the Department of Education offer courses that meet different interests and skills. All are held during the day and are aimed at students who are at the beginning of high school. Below, check out the list of available courses:

- Buildings (Morning) – For students interested in the construction industry, this course covers everything from planning to executing construction and renovation projects.
- Buildings (Afternoon) – With the same curriculum as the morning class, the afternoon course offers an additional option for those interested in the construction field.
- Multimedia (Afternoon) – Ideal for young people who want to explore the digital world, with a focus on the production of multimedia content, including graphic design, video editing and animation.
How the selection process works
Those interested in participating in free technical courses must pre-register through the official Senai website. After this step, those responsible for the students will be invited for a meeting at Senai, where they will have all the information about the program, the courses offered and the registration procedure.
To ensure that places are filled fairly, an online draw will be held on November 12th at 10am if the number of pre-enrolled students exceeds the total number of places per course. Therefore, all registered students will have the chance to secure their place, as long as they follow the registration instructions and follow the draw.
