Who can participate and how does the course work?
The course, which is completely free, is aimed at professionals who have a degree in areas such as health, social sciences, legal sciences, humanities and related areas.
The training is aimed at people who wish to act in a critical and transformative way in the area of public health, dealing especially with the complexities of ethnic-racial relations and their impact on collective health.
With a total workload of 540 hours, the course will be divided between 440 hours of theoretical subjects e 100 hours to prepare the Final Course Work (TCC).
Classes will mostly be held remotely, using distance learning platforms, but there is the possibility of in-person activities.
The course is scheduled to start on April 3, 2025, with theoretical classes ending on November 6 of the same year. The TCC must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
According to Fiocruz, only 20 vacancies for this specialization, which will be distributed between broad competition and affirmative actions, with the following details:
- 14 vacancies for general competition;
- 4 vacancies for black people (black and brown);
- 1 vacancy for people with disabilities (PcD);
- 1 vacancy for indigenous people.
If the vacancies reserved for affirmative action are not filled, they will be redirected to open competition.
Selection process: stages and criteria
The selection process will consist of two stages:
Document analysis: At this stage, candidates will have their resumes and letters of intent evaluated. This stage will take place between the days February 3 and 7, 2025.
Elimination and qualifying interview: Candidates approved in the first stage will undergo an interview, which will be held between the days February 17 and 21, 2025, preferably via the Zoom platform.
