O Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia (IF Baiano) announced, on January 22, 2025, Notice No. 15/2025, which regulates the selection of students for the Lato Sensu Postgraduate course in Innovation and Trends in Education, offered in distance learning mode.
The course is free and aims to train education professionals to implement innovative pedagogical practices, with an emphasis on digital technologies, active methodologies and experiential education.
Registration is open from January 27 to February 10, 2025, exclusively through the official IF Baiano website.
Specialization course in educational innovation
Aimed at holders of an undergraduate degree recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the course seeks to train educators capable of understanding and applying contemporary pedagogical trends.
With a workload of 360 hours, divided into two modules, the activities will be carried out entirely on the IF Baiano Moodle platform, allowing flexibility to participants.
Distribution of vacancies and support centers
The Instituto Federal IF Baiano offers 200 places for this specialization, distributed equally between five in-person support centers: Alagoinhas, Dias d'Ávila, Esplanada, Rio Real and Salvador.
This distribution aims to serve different regions, facilitating access for professionals interested in improving their educational skills.
Selection process and tiebreaker criteria
Candidates will be selected in order of registration, considering the date and time of submission. In the event of a tie, the following criteria will be applied:
- Majority of age, prioritizing elderly candidates;
- Time experience as a teacher in the field of professional education;
- Performance in basic and higher education.
Successful candidates will be called through the official portal and via email, and must confirm their registration within three calendar days to secure their place.
Reservation of places for affirmative action
The notice provides for the reservation of 25% of vacancies for affirmative actions, with 20% allocated to black, mixed race or indigenous candidates, and 5% for people with disabilities (PwD).
If these vacancies are not filled, they will be redistributed to the general competition, according to the criteria established in the notice.
Registration and required documentation
Registrations must be made by February 10, 2025, exclusively through electronic form available on the official website of IF Baiano.
It is necessary to attach the documents required in item 4.6 of the notice, including undergraduate diploma, identification document and proof of residence.
Schedule and publication of results
The preliminary selection result is expected to be released on February 25, 2025.
Successful candidates must follow the guidelines in the notice to enroll and begin the course in the first semester of 2025.
