Hyundai announced its latest launch on the electric car market: an affordable compact SUV, aiming directly at the competition with the HB20. Development on Hyundai's new SUV
Hyundai's new electric car will be an electric version of the Hyundai Casper, a small SUV known for its bold design and urban versatility. To increase internal space and battery capacity, the electric SUV will have a wheelbase lengthened by at least 25 cm, ensuring comfort and autonomy.
Based on the K1 platform, also used by other models of the brand, the model can borrow its mechanics from the Kia Ray EV, with an 86 hp engine and 35.2 kWh battery. With a predicted range of up to 320 km, Hyundai's electric SUV could arrive in Europe costing around 20.000 euros, making it a more affordable option on the European market.
