IBAMA opens new selection process for firefighters with 624 temporary positions in several states. The Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Resources (IBAMA) is about to hold a new selection process that promises to attract candidates interested in working on the front lines of environmental protection. The authorization to fill the positions was published in the Official Gazette of the Union last Tuesday, August 27, by the president of IBAMA, Rodrigo Agostinho.

Requirements, duties and possible salaries for temporary positions

brigadier
It is necessary to be literate and be between 18 and 59 years old. In some locations, it is necessary to have a certificate from the Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Brigade Training course taught by Ibama or ICMBio.
The salary is R$1.302 and those approved will be responsible for carrying out activities related to integrated fire management, such as: prevention, use of fire, monitoring, preparation and fighting forest fires.
Squadron Chief
You must be literate and between 18 and 59 years old. In some states, you must have a Certificate from the Forest Fire Prevention and Combat Brigade Training Course provided by Ibama or ICMBio.
Salaries reach R$1.953 and those approved are responsible for commanding the squadron's firefighters in prevention and combat activities, preparing and executing the squadron's weekly work plan and ensuring the maintenance of the brigade's equipment, materials and vehicles.
Brigade Chief
High school diploma required and age between 18 and 59 years old. In some locations, it is essential to have completed a Fire Brigade Training and Prevention Course.
Salaries reach R$2.694 and those approved will be responsible for carrying out administrative activities related to the brigade, coordinating the command hierarchy of squadron chiefs and brigade members, sending managers and representing Prevfogo locally.
Another Ibama competition for employees
It is worth noting that in addition to this selection process with temporary positions, a new authorization for the new IBAMA competition for permanent employees was published at the beginning of July. According to the ordinance, 260 positions were authorized for the positions of Administrative Analyst and Environmental Analyst, which require a higher education level.
Those approved will be entitled to a starting salary of R$8.817,72, which is made up of R$5.145,72 and a performance bonus of R$3.672,00. It is worth mentioning that, at the closing ceremony of the CNU on August 18, the minister Esther Dweck stated that more vacancies will be authorized for the IBAMA competition.
