These activities are considered to be high risk, which justifies early retirement for those who dedicate part of their lives to these roles.

For workers who fit into these professions, the rules vary according to the time they started contributing to the INSS.

Rules for those who started working before the 2019 reform

According to current regulations, these workers must meet the following requirements:

  • 15 years of special activity, that is, under risk conditions;
  • Add 66 points, considering age and time of special activity.

Rules for those who started working after the 2019 reform

  • 15 years of special activity;

According to current legislation, teachers who wish to retire at age 55 must meet one of the following criteria:

1st rule: minimum score requirement

  • For women (teachers): 25 years of contribution and a minimum score of 86 points in 2024 (adding age and contribution time).
  • For men (teachers): 30 years of contribution and a minimum score of 96 points in 2024.

Each year, the minimum score increases, until it reaches the limit of 92 points for women e 100 points for men.

2nd rule: minimum age requirement

  • For women (teachers): 25 years of contribution and minimum age of 53 years and 6 months in 2024.
  • For men (teachers): 30 years of contribution and minimum age of 58 years and 6 months in 2024.

These minimum ages increase 6 months a year, until reaching 57 years for women e 60 years for men. In addition, both sexes must have 180 contributions, corresponding to 15 years of work.

3rd rule: 100% toll

In this modality, teachers need to work an additional period corresponding to the time remaining, in November 2019, to complete the minimum contribution time:

  • For women (teachers): 25 years of contribution and minimum age of 52 years.
  • For men (teachers): 30 years of contribution and minimum age of 55 years.

Fortunately, the INSS offers a practical tool to consult your payment statement. You can check all the necessary information about your social security benefit directly through My INSS website or app. To do this, just follow these steps:

  1. Access My INSS with your CPF and password gov.br;
  2. From the main menu, select the option Payment Statement;
  3. View detailed information about payments received, such as amount, date and month reference.
