Petrobras' Marlim Field revitalization project advances even further with the authorization granted by Ibama for the installation of the FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi, which will be implemented in the Campos Basin region by the state-owned company
After a long wait, the Brazilian Institute of the Environment (Ibama) granted the necessary license for the installation of the FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi in the Campos Basin, located between Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, this Tuesday, ( 31/05). This is another important step towards the project of revitalization of the Campo de Marlim of the Brazilian state-owned company Petrobras, where the platforms will be installed this year.
FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi may be installed in the Campos Basin after approval by Ibama and state advances in the revitalization of Campo de Marlim
The Brazilian state-owned company Petrobras takes another step towards the revitalization of Campo de Marlim, in the Campos Basin, for the future production of fuels such as oil and natural gas. This is because Ibama granted the installation license for the FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi platforms, which will be installed in the place for the start of production scheduled for the year 2023, after a long project of works that will be carried out.
In addition, it was announced that both FPSO platforms will be connected to a total of 77 wells after the completion of the project, 14 of which will be new and another 63 will be relocated from platforms already installed in the field and which will be decommissioned.

And with that, Petrobras will be able to advance even more so with the revitalization plan for Campo de Marlim, in the Campos Basin, with a focus on resuming fuel production by the year 2048, aiming at growth in the national oil and gas sector.
Finally, with authorization from Ibama for the installation of the FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi platforms, production in Campo de Marlim should be significantly expanded. Thus, Petrobras expects production to go from 45 barrels of oil equivalent per day to around 153 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The FPSO Anna Nery is being built by Yinson, while the FPSO Anita Garibaldi is under the responsibility of Modec, which will invest heavily to complete the works by the beginning of 2023.
Revitalization of the Marlim Field in the Campos Basin will provide production of 900 barrels per day after Petrobras' millionaire investments
Petrobras is increasingly invested in the project to revitalize the Campo de Marlim and Ibama's authorization for the installation of the FPSOs guaranteed a new perspective of accelerating the project for the state-owned company. This is because the state-owned company announced in recent months an investment of US$ 16 billion in the revitalization of the mature fields of the Campos Basin for the installation of three new platforms and the interconnection of more than 100 wells, distributed between the Marlim and Roncador fields.
Thus, the FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi mark the company's initial step towards the resumption of production in Campo de Marlim.
In addition, Petrobras expects to reach an exploration volume of 2026 barrels in the Campos Basin by 900 and guarantee even more investments in the region of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo in the oil and gas segment over the next few years.

And it's not just the volume of royalty resources. There is also the payment of special participations, paid by very profitable fields”.
