UVA Foundation and UAB open selection for 840 vacancies in 2025
The Vale do Acaraú State University (UVA), in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), announced the opening of applications for the 2025.1 Selection Process.
There are 840 places available in five distance learning undergraduate courses, regulated by Notice No. 03/2024.
The proposal not only expands access to higher education, but also meets market demands and contributes to teacher training, aligning with the inclusion policies of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel).
Diversity of courses and face-to-face support centers
The courses offered cover strategic areas for the country's development:
- Public administration: 150 vacancies;
- Accounting Sciences: 150 vacancies;
- PE: 180 vacancies;
- Renewable energy: 180 vacancies;
- Pedagogy: 180 vacancies.
The courses are supported by 15 in-person support centers, strategically spread across different locations.
This way, students have access to the necessary infrastructure to reconcile their distance learning routine with face-to-face learning moments.
Inclusion and diversity in the selection process
One of the great differences of this selection is the focus on social inclusion.
Specific quotas allocate 25% of vacancies to teachers in the public education system, reinforcing the appreciation and training of these professionals.
There are also reservations for people who self-declare as black, brown, indigenous, quilombolas and for people with disabilities.
Candidates may also choose to apply through the general competition. It is important to remember that all candidates must have completed high school by the date of enrollment.
Low-cost registration and simplified process
The registration period runs from November 14, 2024 to January 5, 2025, and the fee amount is only R$50.
Selection will be based on high school performance, with grades converted into numerical concepts.
The notice also allows candidates to choose their form of participation: open competition or through the quota system, ensuring a transparent and inclusive selection process.
