A USP offers 80 free courses training for teachers through the Encontro USP Escola project. Registration open until December 5th!
If you are a teacher and are looking for an opportunity to train without spending anything, this is your chance! University of São Paulo (USP) has opened registration for the 25th edition of USP School Meeting, which offers 80 free courses aimed at training basic education teachers, both in the public and private sectors.
With the aim of promoting an enriching dialogue between university and basic education teachers, the project has already benefited more than 12 thousand educators over the years.
The free courses are scheduled to start in 2025 and cover current topics, practical and directly linked to classroom challenges.

How the project works
O USP School Meeting offers courses in two main formats: dissemination and updating. Both are validated by the São Paulo State Department of Education, which means that the training can be used to improve teaching practice and enrich professional resumes.
The program is organized into five major areas of knowledge:
- Education;
- Humanities;
- Languages;
- Math;
- Natural Sciences.
With a workload of 30 hours, the courses are taught by USP professors and feature high-quality teaching materials, as well as practical and reflective activities.

- Teaching and learning with museum collections (Languages);
- Quantum Physics in experiments and concepts (Natural Sciences);
- Teaching indigenous histories and cultures (Humanities);
- Playful practices and approaches to teaching mathematics (Mathematics);
- Video games and teaching History (Humanities);
- Creative processes and perceptual experiences in science (Natural Sciences);
- Traditional African games: a possible way to think about African history and culture (Humanities).
These are just a few examples of the project's rich programming. The courses were designed to meet the most urgent demands of basic education and contribute to the improvement of pedagogical practices.

How to Apply
Registration is open today December 5, 2024 and must be done exclusively online, at Apollo system from USP. Check out the step by step:

- Create an account or log in: Enter your personal details and choose the course of interest.
- Submit the required documents: Make sure you meet the criteria in the notice and complete your registration.
Remember: priority will be given to teachers actively working in basic education.
