The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) announced that, in 2025, will offer 6.512 vacancies in 85 free undergraduate courses. This year, UFMG will include three new courses: Computer Engineering, with 80 places, distributed throughout the year, and two undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Natural Sciences on the Montes Claros campus.
These new free courses will enable you to expansion of the teaching offer, with 60 places available for the first semester at the regional campus in Montes Claros, while the Computer Engineering course will have places at the Pampulha campus, in Belo Horizonte.
The university has increased the number of places available in Computer Science and Information Systems courses, from 160 to 200. The new places will be distributed across both semesters, allowing for greater training of students in these high-demand fields.

Changes in class schedules and concentration
Another new feature is the change in class schedules for 19 undergraduate courses, which will be concentrated in specific shifts. Undergraduate courses that were previously offered in the morning and afternoon will now have classes in only one of these periods. Some undergraduate courses will be taught in the morning, such as Museology, Actuarial Science, Journalism and Administration, while others, such as Computer Science and Physics, will be taught in the afternoon.
Sisu calendar and registration for free courses
The selection process via Sisu will begin with registrations between January 17th and 21st (access here). The results will be announced on January 26, and selected candidates must register between January 27 and 31. Those who are not selected will have until January 31 to express their interest in the waiting list.
