Industry 4.0 and its great revolutions

Industry 4.0 is marked by several technological advances, but it is important to highlight the other industrial revolutions, before the first industrial revolution, production around the world was manual, until the moment of the first steam machines arrived.

In the second revolution, steam power was replaced by electrical power, and machines became much smaller and more productive.

And the last great revolution was very important, due to the automation of machines, and the level of a new application of informatics, giving the power of “personalization” in the production line.

Taking into account the main factors of Industry 4.0, we prepared this content to show the great revolutions. Good reading!

What is Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 is a major revolution in the industrial sector, as it moves towards automation in all procedures, generating great profits for the company in terms of productivity and great results.

In addition, employees gain a greater increase in safety, a reduction in physical effort in various processes, resulting in time optimization for carrying out new processes.

Another very important factor is that the industrial revolution rests on three major fundamental pillars, which we will discuss below.

The famous Internet of Things

One of the most popular subjects at the moment is the Internet of Things, fully integrated into the network of physical objects, environments, vehicles, machines and different devices, allowing for various data exchanges.

Big Data Analytics is the data structure that uses capture, analysis and capture management tools, operating like a big brain.

In the industry segment, the action of these items happens as follows in practice: the internet of things integrates process status information, and Big Data Analytics processes this data looking for improvements in the process.

Imagine that some of the industrial processes that use water are required to treat the liquid, and the process is carried out in a effluent treatment plant, or outsource this option.

Implementing the internet of things application, integrated with Big Data Analytics, the system can monitor the volume of effluent waste produced, and start treatment according to demand, without waste.

Robots and the Great Revolutions

Robotics is a fundamental element in the midst of great revolutions, as the main concept of machines is connected between sensors, processing and actuation. As we saw in the previous topic about the capacity of sensors and processing, this mix commends the operations of autonomous robots.

But, this moment of the process is very delicate, because the great advantage of robotics is in the “inexperience”, this happens because the human being gains experience in practice and with work.

In the case of robots, they also gain experience, for this purpose simulation tools are used to process real data, and from the experience of developers to create intelligent solutions for current problems.

Impacts of Industry 4.0

Imagine a large mall, which uses the Fan Coil system for cooling, which generates a high volume of chiller maintenance so that everything can work well and correctly. The system can monitor the performance of the equipment, and with these types of tools, they can now define all the work of a maintenance team.

Or in the case of a company that performs the cylinder coating, can have the advantage of its systemic experience, to establish which types of treatments are most suitable for the appropriate applications, determining the production to carry out the processes in a standardized way and with high quality.

As we saw throughout this content, the industry continues to revolutionize itself every day, generating great impacts on our world and transforming everyone's lives!
