Become a bilingual teacher! The MEC is waiting for you. Registration is open for the Pedagogy course so you can train.
The National Institute of Education for the Deaf (INES), of the Ministry of Education – MEC, is with the iRegistration open for the Bilingual Pedagogy course, an in-person degree that prepares professionals to work in deaf education. There are 60 places available, distributed between morning and evening shifts, and classes are scheduled to begin in the first semester of 2025.

The free INES Bilingual Pedagogy course offers comprehensive and qualified training for those who want to make a difference in the lives of deaf children, adolescents and young people. The course covers topics such as Libras, inclusive education, child development and specific methodologies for teaching the deaf.
How to participate?
Registrations can be made exclusively online, through the INES website, from September 23 to October 24, 2024. The selection process will consist of two stages: a general knowledge and writing test, and a proficiency test in Libras.

Reserved places
The MEC reserves 50% of vacancies for deaf candidates and 50% for hearing candidates. In addition, there are vacancies reserved for low-income candidates, black, mixed-race, indigenous, quilombola, people with disabilities and those who completed high school in a public school.
Application requirements
To participate in the selection process, candidates must have completed high school and present the documents requested in the notice. It is important to note that deaf candidates must present a medical report proving hearing loss.
Selection process schedule
- Registration period: 23/09/2024 to 24/10/2024
- Publication of final result: 19/12/2024
- Enrollment period: 08 to 09/01/2025 (first call) and 15 and 16/01/2025 (second call)
