Leading global group EM&I expands operations in Brazil with facilities in Macaé.
The scenario of oil industry in Brazil it receives a weight boost. With a consolidated trajectory of more than 10 years in the country, the renowned EM&I Group, a reference in asset integrity solutions and advanced services, takes another assertive step in Brazilian lands, opening its own base in Macae, aiming to improve service to local and Latin American demands.
This new 1.000 m² landmark is not just a physical space: it stands out as a Research and Development (R&D) center that promises to advance technologies and processes, always with the aim of minimizing costs and operational risks for its customers.
A Memorable Inauguration
The opening ceremony, which took place on September 28, was not only attended by the company's global directors and more than 70 executives from the oil industry, but also with a practical demonstration of the solutions offered by the EM&I Group. Among the main ones, underwater inspections, maintenance of offshore assets and inspections using advanced technologies, such as cutting-edge optical cameras and high-capacity ultrasound, stand out.

Macaé and Strengthening the Partnership
During the event, important representatives were present. Among them, Rodrigo Viana, Secretary of Economic Development, Labor and Income of Macae, and Renato Cordeiro, representing the UK Department for Business and Trade – DBT. Both reinforced the harmony between the innovation proposed by EM&I and the ideals of growth and development of the city of Macae.
“We recognize the potential and contribution of EM&I. We hope that this new base will be a milestone of prosperity and expansion”, expressed Secretary Rodrigo Viana.
At the end of the ceremony, in a symbolic gesture, an ROV dove into a tank and fixed the base's inaugural plaque.
