New Chevrolet Onix 2025 has just been announced! Now, Hyundai HB20, Fiat Argo and Honda City must pay attention to this future sales leader.
Launched in Brazil around 12 years ago, the Chevrolet Onix went through a real rollercoaster on its journey. The model was the sales leader for six years, however it no longer has the same strength as before and was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but managed to close 2023 as the third best-selling car in Brazil. This year, however, it is in fifth position until March and it seems that the announcement of the new Chevrolet Onix Plus Premier 2025 โ TOP-of-the-line 2025 version came at a good time.
New Chevrolet car could change the course of sales of Chevrolet and be the new flagship
Perhaps the early launch of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025 could have some effect on sales, even if there is no change in equipment or engine packages for the relevant models.
The Premier sedan, however, lost the two-tone finish that combines black with caramel. The real changes will take place next year, with a new look and updated engines.
- Toyota Corolla XRX Hybrid 2025: 17,7 km/l in the city, 8-year warranty and the most economical in its category!
- Citroรซn Basalt x Renault Kardian: A dispute of R$ 20 thousand, 490 liters and 130 horsepower in the battle of the most desired SUVs!
- New Indian motorcycle surpasses Yamaha Factor and becomes a sensation: it costs less than R$ 10 thousand, does 60 km/l and is keeping the big global brands awake at night!
- Elon Musk under pressure! BYD, XPeng and Zeekr exceed expectations, break sales records and threaten Tesla's leadership in the electric car market
The Chevrolet car starts at R$87.790 in the 1.0 version, which does not have a surname, and reaches R$119.700 in the top of the line, Premier.
An increase of R$1.640 in the cheapest version and R$2.310 in the most expensive, compared to the 2024 line. In the case of the sedan Chevrolet Onix Plus 2025, Prices now range from R$99.490 to R$125.790.
In terms of design, the model will change with the aim of getting closer to GM launches around the world, with thinner headlights and a trapezoid-shaped grille, which extends to the base of the bumper and more angular lines, which promise to repeat the success of the current design.
New Chevrolet Onix 2025 delivers up to 116 hp
The 1.0 and LT 1.0 versions have a 1.0 flex engine, three cylinders in line and 12 valves with six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
The engine generates 82 horsepower on ethanol and 78 horsepower on gasoline. Torque is 10,6 kgfm with ethanol and 9,6 kgfm with gasoline. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 13,3 seconds and the maximum speed is 167 km/h.
The rest versions of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025 have a 1.0 turbo flex engine, with three cylinders in line and 12 valves with six-speed automatic transmission, with the exception of the LT MT Turbo, which has a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
The engine generates 116 horsepower with ethanol or gasoline. Maximum torque is 16,8 kgfm with ethanol and 16,3 kgfm with gasoline. Acceleration in this case is from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10,1 seconds and the maximum speed is 187 km/h.
What about the interior of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025?
The interior of the new model tends to follow the dashboard of the new Spin, with floating panels and better image qualities and at least more expensive inversions and a digital instrument panel.
The cheapest version of the model will feature a 14-inch steel wheel with integral hubcaps, black exterior rear-view mirrors, black door handles, folding knife key, speaker set โ 4 units (2 tweeters and 2 front), USB input double (for loading only) fabric seats, Jet Black interior trim, 3-spoke steering wheel and silver interior door handles. It is worth noting that the more expensive versions will come with more standard items.
I didn't understand why the ad only said 87 thousand for a 1.0 car, 125 thousand for an Onix is โโcrazy lol
The price is like that for all cars. There is no way out. To pay less, you have to buy an old car.
Crazy is paying 164 thousand for a Nivus
And the timing belt. It is still bathed in oil.
We have to get rid of this 3-cylinder engine, it's causing a lot of losses for those who buy it.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD ONE? I HAVE ONE WITH 200 THOUSAND KM AND IT HAS NEVER GONE ME ANY DAMAGE BECAUSE I USE THE CORRECT EYE! THIS ENGINE IS EXCELLENT AND STRONG FOR A 1.0
The problem is the Internet mechanics. They think they know everything about timing belts bathed in oil. They go to Joe's mechanic and put in a cheap oil, which is the "same thing". It only dismantles the belt. But then it's Chevrolet's fault...
They take everything that is good off the line, for example the Cruze 1.4 turbo, a car that doesn't break down and delivers power and economy! So they go and take it off the line to keep these bombs!
But there was no market, people prefer to buy the tracker, the sale of medium hatchbacks ended and the sale of sedans is ending.
There is no demand for the Cruze, people prefer the Tracker
I fully agree with you
Best
I'm a mechanic, we've had Onix 3 cylinders almost break down twice with less than 50,000 km, luckily the belt crumbs ruined the auxiliary brake pump, making the brake pedal hard, both cars had been serviced at the dealership, so the authorized dealer is using the wrong oil too???
Yes, many dealerships are putting oil outside the specification, when I go to have mine serviced, I keep an eye on it, because once, they wanted to put 5w30 oil, used in the Cobalt and Prisma, because the correct oil is 5w30 Dexos 1 gen 3.
That's crazy, you did the right thing!
And this week? I went to the oil store to get my Onix, and the guy not only wanted to push oil that he didn't recommend, but also said that my car has 0w20 when it's actually 5w30. Imagine if I don't know a little bit about it? He was going to ruin my life and whose fault would it be?
But the correct one is dexos 0w20!!
It's ridiculous for a boy raised in a gated community to defend an oil-immersed belt just because he has a pump like that! The mechanics who receive training from the factory are wrong ****, they are putting in the wrong oil kkkkkkk because the engine is good, but the mechanics at all the dealerships in the country don't know which oil to use, the only one who knows is the boy raised by his grandmother who bought one of those on finance from Grandma's name kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk 3 cylinder engines are the only good ones from Volkswagen! The rest are USELESS FOR NOTHING!!!
These modern turbo engines are especially sensitive to adulterated fuels and especially lubricants that are out of specification. If you follow the Manual and don't skimp on oil, you'll have a great car that runs very well and is economical. Here at home, my wife has had a Premier for almost four years, and it's nothing but joy.
I bought an Onix Premier 22, I regretted the car delivers comfort, but it has a pump in the mechanical part, a 3-cylinder turbo engine with an oil-bathed belt, the belt crumbles and ruins the entire engine, the engineer who designed it took the course at the Brazilian Universal Institute by correspondence. Everything about it is absurdly expensive.
The engine is not bad, it's the car owner who doesn't follow exactly what's in the manual, we're in 2024 and not in 1980, when even cooking oil would do the trick. Today's cars have to follow the brand and the exact oil that's in the manual to the letter, it's still better to have the service done at a dealership, I guarantee you'll never have this kind of problem.
True; And at the end of the year I'll go and have a tiny amount invested in the dealership that would be enough to drive a Ferrari. LOL the best thing about Brazil is the Brazilians themselves... LOL
That one must be a **** dealership
If it were at IUB it would be fine, it was completed via MOBRAL.
Just use the correct oil, made for use in engines with timing belts bathed in oil.
If it's an oil-immersed belt, I won't buy it... I'd rather have a 2018 model car.
The best Onix is โโthe old 4-cylinder engine and that's it. The guys who say that this 3-cylinder **** is good are those people who drive 10 km a day, so even a moped is great. LOL
I have a 2020 Onix and it has more than 70.000 km, no problem.
Quatro Rodas tested the 100.000 km and also had no problems.
Those who have problems are those who want to save on maintenance, using cheaper oil, aftermarket parts and Chinese tires.
For the love of God, do people think that industry engineers don't study or test anything? And I'll say more, if BOs start to appear on a certain part, the guys quickly present the solution, which are the so-called Technical Bulletins that they send to the CSS.
