The state government decrees the new minimum wage of R$1.927 for 2024, guaranteeing a victory for CLT workers in Paraná.

The state government of Paraná has made a decision and made official a new minimum wage of R$1.927, which will come into effect from 2024. This change represents a major step forward for CLT workers in the state, especially for those who depend on this adjustment to support their families. With one of the highest regional salary floors in Brazil, Paraná stands out by valuing its workforce in a significant way.

On February 5th of this year, the governor of Paraná, Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior, signed the decree that sets the new values for the state's Regional Floor. With this, the minimum wage will be R$1.927, having a direct impact on the lives of thousands of CLT workers. The decree, signed after analysis and recommendation by the State Council for Labor, Employment and Income (Ceter), is now in force, with the new value being retroactive to January 1, 2024.

Details of the minimum wage adjustment

The 6% adjustment, compared to previous values that varied between R$1.749,02 and R$2.017,02, places Paraná at the top of the ranking of states with the highest regional minimum wage. “Paraná has the highest minimum wage in Brazil, which shows our recognition and appreciation for workers from Paraná,” said Ratinho Junior at a press conference. The list of CLT workers in the state is already celebrating this achievement, which directly reflects on purchasing power and quality of life.

Group I: It involves agricultural, forestry and fishing workers, who will now have a minimum wage of R$1.856,94.

Group II: It includes administrative and domestic service workers, salespeople and repair and maintenance workers, who will now receive R$1.927,02.

Group III: Includes workers in the production of industrial goods and services, who now receive R$1.989,86.

Minimum wage calculation

The calculation of the regional minimum wage takes into account inflation measured by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) and the positive variation in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from two years ago. This methodology ensures that the salary keeps up with economic changes, providing an adjustment that, in 2024, will directly benefit the list of CLT workers in Paraná.

Change in minimum wage is seen positively

It The change in the minimum wage is seen as one of the main victories for CLT workers in the state, strengthening purchasing power and ensuring greater economic stability for families in Paraná. The initiative, which was one of President Lula's campaign promises, aims to reverse the wage stagnation observed in previous years, when the minimum wage adjustment was made based solely on inflation.

With the new minimum wage of R$1.927 coming into effect, CLT workers in Paraná have plenty of reasons to celebrate. This measure not only values the workforce, but also reinforces the state government's commitment to ensuring better living conditions for the population. Stay tuned for upcoming updates on the impact of this adjustment on the job market and the state's economy.

Only the regional wage of the state of Rio de Janeiro is not increasing, only the mercy, really. Instead of progressing, things are regressing, because workers in group II had to go back to earning the minimum wage, so as not to be left with a salary, below the minimum, outdated.
What a shame, where is the governor of Rio to give dignity to workers, with a decent salary increase, in line with inflation, for workers in group II
My God…
