The device is a flexible rectangular strip with a central hole for the valve stem to pass through. During installation, it is positioned between the base of the stem and the rubber seal on the rim. With the Outrider properly installed, tire pressure readings are transmitted in real time to a Garmin device using the ANT+ wireless protocol. This functionality is useful for cyclists who want to closely monitor tire conditions to ensure optimal performance.
