A State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) has opened registration for free distance learning undergraduate courses.
The selection process, regulated by Notice 31/2025, offers 600 vacancies in three areas of training and does not require an entrance exam.

Registration is completely free and can be done until March 20th, 2025.
Courses offered by the university and distribution of places
The initiative is part of the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB/CAPES) and includes three undergraduate courses, with places distributed as follows:
Bachelor's Degree in Music - 250 vacancies
Bachelor's Degree in English Language - 200 vacancies
Bachelor's Degree in Rural Education - 150 vacancies
The courses will be offered at face-to-face centers distributed throughout several cities in the Rio Grande do Norte, facilitating access to higher education.
Cities with in-person support centers
Although the training will be predominantly online, students will need to attend certain activities in person. Check out the cities where the courses will be available:
Bachelor's Degree in Music: The cities of Açu, Caicó, Currais Novos, Caraúbas, Canguaretama, Luis Gomes and Pau dos Ferros are the most visited.

Who can apply?
The selection process is aimed at two main groups:
Basic Education Teachers (PEB):
For teachers in the public or private network, 30% of vacancies are reserved.
It is necessary to prove employment relationship and teaching experience.
Holders of a high school completion certificate (or equivalent):
You can compete in the following categories:
Broad Competition (AC)
Person with Disabilities (PwD) - 5% of vacancies
Black, Brown or Indigenous Person (PPI) - 15% of vacancies
Selection Criteria
Unlike traditional entrance exams, admission will be done through curriculum analysis e Enem grades. Check out the evaluation criteria:
For Basic Education teachers:
Teaching in the public network: 5 points per year of experience.
Teaching in the private network: 2 points per year of experience.
For candidates with completed high school:
Enem score (any edition between 2010 and 2024), as chosen by the candidate at the time of registration.
Selection process schedule from UERN University

Approval of registrations: 08/04/2025
Preliminary result: 26/05/2025
Final result: 25/06/2025
Institutional registration: 26/06 a 08/07/2025
Flexibility with face-to-face commitment
Although they are courses in the modality EAD, there are mandatory in-person activities, such as assessments, tutorials, internships and presentation of work.
These activities are scheduled at regional hubs, usually on Saturdays or Sundays, to facilitate the participation of students who work during the week.
