The construction of the offshore production system of Aker Solutions and TotalEnergies in Brazil will cover the management of the EPCI interface
Aker Solutions signed a contract with the giant French energy company TotalEnergies for the delivery of the subsea production system, related EPCI tools and interfaces for the construction of the Lapa South West field offshore Brazil.
The offshore development concept located in the Santos Basin pre-salt is a subsea tie-back to the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba, using existing facilities and infrastructure for the construction of TotalEnergies and Aker Solutions in Brazil.
Aker Solutions will provide a subsea offshore production system, including up to three subsea trees and control systems, tie-in, subsea structures and umbilicals, as well as associated equipment and installation work in Brazil.

About the field where the new building will operate
Discovered in 2007, the field is located in block BM-S-9, which was divided into two sub-blocks after the discovery of Sapinhoá. Full commercial offshore production began in late 2016 via the 27 b/d FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba MV100.000.
Yesterday, TotalEnergies announced that it had approved a final investment decision (FID) for the offshore oil development project, representing an investment of approximately US$1 billion.
The start of offshore production at the Lapa Sudoeste project is scheduled for 2025, increasing production from the Lapa field by 25.000 barrels of oil per day, bringing total production to 60.000 barrels of oil per day.
