The movement of passengers and aircraft at Belo Horizonte International Airport, in November, should repeat the level registered in October, and around 920 thousand people should pass through the terminal. The number represents a 30% growth compared to November 2021. The number of flights is expected to reach 7,7, between landings and takeoffs. The Proclamation of the Republic holiday (15), which falls on a Tuesday, should influence the flow of passengers.

The Republic proclamation holiday, which falls on the 15th of November, should have a profound impact on data related to air flights in Brazil, bringing positive results for tourism and economy in general, which recovers with the post-pandemic and price increases due to high inflation. Due to the crisis faced since 2020, many airlines present on the Stock Exchange showed drops above 50%.

“We are on the right path, but we still cannot say that the consequences of the pandemic have been overcome”, emphasizes the director of Operations and Infrastructure at BH Airport, Herlichy Bastos. “The effects of Covid-19 have changed the dynamics of the market, and we need to monitor these changes, which will last for a long time, to build a new future for the sector.”, he clarifies. “The profile of passengers has changed, and airline networks are still being rebuilt”, assesses Herlichy Bastos, pointing out that the impacts of the pandemic are still being felt in the airport sector.

Airport in Belo Horizonte will have 40 destinations and shows strong recovery in the aviation sector in the economy

BH International Airport is connected to 40 destinations this month, between extra and regular flights. In international flights, the novelty is the increase in the frequency of the Copa to Panama, from five to seven weekly flights in November. The route to Lisbon/Portugal remains unchanged. For December, the estimate is to exceed 50 markets served.
