Nursing professionals in Brazil concerned about the coronavirus

These are some of the first professionals positioned on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus, but in a virtual community of Nursing Technicians and Brazilian Nurses, spirits are running high

Nursing technicians and nurses are extremely important professionals for public, private and occupational health, despite often not having due monetary recognition. When there is a need to combat epidemiological outbreaks, as is the case with the coronavirus, these professionals are the first to enter the front line.

Such grandeur of these professionals does not exempt them from concern, even though they are trained and accustomed to protective measures in the hospital environment, since Nursing Technicians would be in direct contact with patients.

According to some nursing professionals in the community on a social network, the ideal mask model is the N-95 released and certified by ANVISA and INMETRO.

“I am very worried, I am afraid, but I leave everything in God's hands, so that He can protect us all”, says Iris Santos.

Silvana Pontes tries to calm the mood: ” We have to remain calm, the population needs our care, let's protect ourselves and ask Almighty God to accompany us in every service, giving us deliverance, we are all afraid but we have something greater Faith and we are the angels of the Lord! Strength friends!”

“Everyone is susceptible to this. Especially those who take the crowded bus or subway. If you don't wash your hands properly, you can still wear masks in the hospital, but many people in other jobs can't.”, adds Joyce Ribeiro.

Nursing technicians and Occupational Nurses are not with people in hospitals, they are also very present in the energy, industrial, oil sector, etc.

Despite some confirmed and suspected cases of coronavirus in Brazil, public and private service functions are still normal.
