O new Oswaldo Cruz Foundation Competition (Fiocruz) will have a notice published later this year. The expectation is that 300 vacancies will be made available for the positions of Public Health Researcher, Health Management Analyst and Public Health Technologist. The public competition notices will be separated by position.

O Public Health Researcher is responsible for using biostatistics, epidemiology and other analytical methods to evaluate disease transmission or study specific pathogens. For this position, those approved in the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz competition will receive salaries of up to R$8.487,50.
Health Management Analyst

For this position, salaries are R$7.593,94. Finally, the Public Health Technologist works to support the supervision of the collection of data on diseases and conditions of compulsory notification from the health surveillance network. Salaries of R$7.593,94 are available for this position.
A authorization of the Fiocruz 2023 competition was announced by the Minister of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, in a press conference. Fiocruz confirmed that it will not participate in the Unified National Contest.
In a note, the foundation stated that, despite the merits of the unified competition proposal, especially with regard to the capillarization of testing locations, the Fiocruz 2023 competition has many specificities and institutional guidance is to make it possible to organize this year's Fundação Oswaldo Cruz competition.

The last Fundação Oswaldo Cruz competition for the position of Technical Assistant in Health Management consisted of just one stage, this being the objective test. The exam had 60 multiple choice questions. The subjects were Portuguese Language Test, Profile-Specific Knowledge Test and Logical Reasoning Test.
For the position of Specialist in Science, Technology, Production and Innovation in Public Health and Researcher in Public Health, candidates completed three stages, namely the Discursive test, Analysis of titles and CVs, and Presentation of the Professional Activity and Defense Project Memorial.
Finally, candidates registered for the position of Public Health Technician in the Fiocruz competition were evaluated through an Objective Test and a Practical Test. The objective test consisted of 60 multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as Portuguese Language, Logical Reasoning and Profile-Specific Knowledge.
Federal Government will open 13 thousand vacancies in public competitions
In June this year, the Federal Government announced authorization for new public tenders. According to Esther Dweck, there will be 4.436 in 20 ministries, totaling more than 13 thousand vacancies.
The minister states that the Union Budget should have an impact of R$735 million annually after the hiring.
The department with the most vacancies is the Ministry of Labor, with 900 opportunities for labor tax auditor positions. See below a list of the main competitions:
