The revitalization plan for the mature fields in the Campos Basin is in full swing with the management of the company PetroRio, which has just announced the start of oil production at the second well in Campo de Frade.
Last Tuesday (02/08), the oil and gas company PetroRio announced another stage of the plan to revitalize fuel production in Campo de Frade, in the Campos Basin, located in southeastern Brazil. This is because the company started production of the second oil and natural gas well in the Campo de Frade region, the 7-FR-55H-RJS, which will now give new directions to the resumption of exploration of the resource in the region.
Revitalization of the Campos Basin advances at PetroRio and the company announces the start of oil production at the second well in Campo de Frade
The company PetroRio took another step forward in its program to revitalize production at Campo de Frade, in the Campos Basin, and announced that it had started oil production at the second well in the region, 7-FR-55H-RJS ( also called MUP3A). This new phase of the plan will enable not only the expansion of the productive recovery in the area, but also the company's growth in the national oil and gas sector.
In addition, PetroRio announced more details about the oil production campaign at Campo de Frade and said that well 7-FR-55H-RJS will have an average initial extraction of approximately 3.500 barrels of oil per day over the first week.

In this way, the oil company ensured a large increase in the total produced in its business portfolio in the national territory, which went from 48,5 thousand barrels per day to 52 thousand barrels per day, with the beginning of the new phase of revitalization of the region in the Basin from Campos.
The entire drilling process for the second well in PetroRio's Campo de Frade revitalization plan took a total of 40 days, according to data from the oil and gas company, and involved a total contribution of US$ 22 million to the construction. The company also announced that the MUP3A well used the subsea structure and part of the MUP3 well, which was not producing, thus ensuring faster and more efficient drilling work on the structure.
PetroRio continues with good results in the Campo de Frade revitalization plan and will increase national oil production with a new well in the region
After the start of oil production in the most recent well drilled by PetroRio in Campo de Frade, the next stage of the region's revitalization plan is already being carried out by means of the Norbe VI rig, from Ocyan and will be the drilling of the first injection well in the scope of revitalization of the area. This structure aims to increase or improve the recuperação of natural gas, or oil from a reservoir, so that a fluid such as water and gas is injected.
It is also worth remembering that PetroRio had already announced good results in the Campo de Frade revitalization plan over the last few months, with the drilling of the first well in the region, the ODP4, which guaranteed the company a stabilized initial production of approximately 15 thousand barrels of oil per day. The company thus managed to expand its production capacity and grew 45%, totaling 48,5 thousand barrels of oil per day.
The revitalization plan for Campo de Frade continues at full speed and should receive new millionaire contributions for its continuation, since, in February of this year, the CEO of PetroRio, Roberto Monteiro, stated that the drilling works of wells in the Frade field would receive around US$ 210 million in investments.
