Starting in 2025, Brazilian students can use their results in the National High School Exam to join in higher education institutions in Portugal, facilitating the process of academic internationalization.

This exchange program is called Enem Portugal, and was launched in 2014. Since then, the number of universities adopting this selection criterion has increased, opening doors for Brazilians who wish to study in a European country. With this, the inep signed inter-institutional agreements with several Portuguese universities, facilitating access to Enem results and providing more educational opportunities abroad.

What are the advantages of studying in Portugal?

Studying in Portugal has several advantages. In addition to being in a European country, Brazilian students can count on cultural proximity and a common language. European diploma is highly recognized and can open doors both in Portugal and in other countries of the European Union. In addition, the cost of living in Portugal is more affordable when compared to other countries in Europe.

Another benefit is the possibility of obtaining scholarships or other financial aid. Therefore, studying in Portugal becomes a more viable option for those who want an international experience with quality education and less financial impact.

Tips and Precautions When Using the Enem Score

watch out for registration deadlines, which may vary from one university to another. Although the predominant language is Portuguese, some universities may require proof of language proficiency, especially in courses with high demand. In addition, it is essential to plan financially, because, despite using the Enem score, Portuguese universities charge tuition fees and annuities.

How does the application process work?

To use the note Enem in Portugal, the first step is to check whether the university of interest accepts the exam as an admission criterion. They are already 35 Institutions who have adopted this format, including names like University of CoimbraUniversity of Porto, and University of Lisbon. Each university establishes its own minimum score on the Enem, which may vary depending on the course and institution.

After choosing the university, the candidate must consult the requirements on the official websitel of the institution.
