In 1970, the VW Sedan (the name Beetle was only officially adopted in 1983) gained the first significant changes such as the adoption of seat belts and a fire extinguisher. In the same year, the “Fuscão”, equipped with a 1.500 horsepower 52 engine and a more luxurious rosewood finish. As an option, there were front disc brakes. Furthermore, the line incorporated new colors such as the diamond blue Volkswagen Beetle. 

According to the owner of this rare Beetle, Sizenando Coutinho Braga, is the only detail that was changed in the 1971 example for sale by Garagem Brasil Antigos. As Coutinho states, It is a valuable Beetle that is barely used and has only 20 km and tires that are still original from the factory. The color of the diamond blue Beetle is one of the most requested by collectors. 

He acquired it from a collector who always kept it very carefully stored so that time would not punish it. Except for the paintwork, which was redone to original standards, the upholstery, door trim and rosewood dashboard remain impeccable with no cracks or stains.

Its average consumption was around 12,5 km/l.
