Ratinho, a presenter on SBT, made a surprising decision to sell all his cattle for a touching reason.

When we talk about the presenter Ratinho, it is common to associate him with television, but few know about his vast rural properties spread across Brazil.

However, an unexpected decision by Ratinho involving his herd generated debate and controversy in the agricultural sector.

Ratinho decided to sell all his cattle at once, after a deeply moving experience.

What would motivate such a successful businessman to make this decision? The answer is far from what many imagine and involves a story that touched him deeply.

According to information from the channel YouTube Rural Facts, Ratinho owned thousands of head of cattle, being an important figure in national agribusiness.

Their farms, located in different states, were known for their vast production.

However, something made him take a drastic decision: From one day to the next, he sold all the cattle.

According to Ratinho himself, the reason for this sudden sale is linked to an experience that he describes as โ€œtraumaticโ€ and that had a profound impact on him.

The trauma that changed everything

The presenter, in an emotional interview, revealed that the separation of calves from their mothers was the trigger for this decision.

He said that, when visiting one of his farms, he witnessed the moment when approximately 10 thousand calves were separated from their mothers.

The suffering of the animals, who were โ€œcryingโ€ for days looking for each other, shook Ratinho in a way he had never anticipated.

As reported by Rural Facts, this scene made him so sad that he developed a kind of temporary depression.

Ratinho declared: โ€œI donโ€™t want to separate mother from son anymore. I decided to sell everything. I told the administrator: sell all the cattle, I donโ€™t want to go through this again.โ€

Featured farms in Brazil

In addition to the controversial episode with the cattle, Ratinho owns several farms that remain in full operation, but now focused on agriculture.

In the state of Acre, he owns two highly important farms, one of which is the largest in the state, with 150 thousand hectares.

The other, added to the first, covers around 200 thousand hectares, according to information.

Despite the size, Ratinho stated that he does not explore these areas for cultivation, but that he could, legally, use the wood from the region.

Still according to the channel Rural Facts, at Paranรก, it also maintains important properties.

Among them, the following stands out: Costa Rica Farm, with 508 hectares, of which almost 480 are dedicated to soybean production.

In addition to its agricultural function, this farm is a place of leisure for the presenter and his family, even having a football field and a large lake.

Another notable property is the Ubatuba Farm, located in Apucarana, with an area of โ€‹โ€‹10 thousand hectares and valued at more than R$80 million.

Interestingly, this farm was once one of the largest coffee producers in Paranรก, with more than 1,3 million trees planted.

A new direction: from livestock farming to agriculture

The decision to sell the cattle also had a strategic component.

Compliant Rural Facts, Ratinho revealed in a recent interview that the entry of meatpacking giant Friboi into the market was decisive for his exit from the sector.

He stated that the friboi caused a significant rise in meat prices, something that, in his view, would make competition very difficult.

โ€œAm I going to fight a big dog?โ€, the presenter joked when commenting on his departure from livestock farming.

Since then, Ratinho decided to focus his efforts on more stable agricultural crops, such as soybeans, corn and coffee.

Currently, Ratinho has few heads of cattle, just enough for his own consumption and that of his farm employees.

He often shares moments of leisure on the properties, including videos on his social networks, where he shows his barbecues and teaches preparation techniques in the โ€œfogo de chรฃoโ€ style, a tradition on the farms.

In one of these posts, Ratinho jokes: โ€œThereโ€™s no secret here. Just place the meat one and a half meters from the fire and let it roast for 5 or 6 hours, while we chat and drink a little cachaรงa.โ€

Preservation and sustainable production

In addition to its entertainment and agribusiness facets, Ratinho also stands out for his care for the environment.

He argues that it is possible to reconcile environmental preservation with agricultural production.

As shown by the channel Rural Facts, Ratinho frequently publishes videos in which he highlights the balance between cultivated areas and preserved areas on his farms.

He says that โ€œit is possible to preserve and produceโ€, and that it is essential to value those who are producing in Brazil.

Otherwise, the country risks economic collapse.

A future without cattle, but with purpose

Even though the sale of the cattle was an important milestone in Ratinho's life, he continues to invest in his farms and agricultural production.

The shift in focus to crops such as soybeans, corn and coffee reflects not only a safer business strategy, but also a commitment to ethical principles.

Ratinho no longer sees himself as a cattle rancher, but rather as an advocate for sustainable and ethical agricultural practices.

After all, could Ratinho's departure from livestock farming inspire other large farmers to rethink their practices?

Oh, sorry. He sold it because planting is more profitable. He just had to wait for the calves to wean on their own.
