Uefs opens registration for 300 places on free distance learning specialization courses, focused on Science Teaching and School Management.
The State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), in partnership with the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB), is accepting applications for free distance learning specialization courses. There are 300 places available, divided between the Specialization in Science Teaching and Specialization in School Management courses. The initiative aims to train education professionals and managers who wish to improve their skills and expand their competencies, especially in the context of public education.
The free courses offered by Uefs have a workload of 390 hours and include synchronous and asynchronous activities, adapting to the availability of students. Live (synchronous) classes take place in the evening, allowing real-time interaction with teachers and other participants, while asynchronous activities are carried out in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), where students can access materials and perform tasks according to your own schedule.
Selection process for specialization courses
The selection process for the free courses offered by Uefs consists of an analysis of documents, where candidates' academic background and professional experience will be assessed. To secure a place, candidates must register online by October 31, filling in the requested information and submitting the required documentation. Those selected will have the opportunity to specialize in areas that are fundamental to the advancement of public education, with a practical and contextualized approach.

Free courses offered by Uefs (EaD)
Uefs offers two distance learning specialization courses, both aimed at training educators and managers:
- Specialization in Science Teaching “Science is Ten!” – Available in the following areas: Feira de Santana, Alagoinhas, Conceição do Coité, Dias D'Ávila and Pintadas.
- Specialization in School Management – Offered at the centers of Feira de Santana, Alagoinhas, Ipirá, Pintadas and Rio Real.
Each of these courses was developed to meet the needs of education professionals, with content focused on pedagogical management, teaching methodology and educational management practices.
How to Apply
To apply for one of the vacancies, the interested party must access the Uefs portal, where the application form is available. After completing the form, the candidate must attach documents proof of training academic and professional experience. The entire process is done online, which facilitates access for professionals who do not live near the centers.
