Rio Grande do Sul company stands out by investing in sustainable trucks and aims for 100% alternative energy by 2035

A Reiter Log, a Rio Grande do Sul company that is a reference in logistics operations in Brazil and Latin America, has established itself as the transport company with the largest fleet of sustainable trucks in the country. With a total of 248 gas powered trucks and more than 15 light and heavy electric models, the company demonstrates its commitment to operating with 100% of vehicles powered by alternative energy by 2035.
This year, the Reiter Log was the protagonist of Volvo's first deal in the heavy electric truck segment in Brazil, acquiring five units of the FM Electric. In addition, the company acquired 10 more electric trucks from XCMG. “There are 15 new vehicles that reinforce our commitment to sustainability”, says the CEO of shipping company, Vinicius Reiter Pilz.

“We are seeking to decarbonize our fleet and are expanding our green logistics offering every day, ensuring that our customers receive proven reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and directly contributing to CO2 reduction targets.”, adds Pilz.
The heavy electric fleet joins the 248 Scania trucks 100% gas-powered and JAC Motors models, which operate in last-mile operations. “We are an important part of the logistics chain and our mission is also to seek companies, entrepreneurs and executives as partners in this journey of long-term investment in sustainable transport solutions”, highlights the ESG director of shipping company, Vanessa Reiter Pilz.
She remembers that there is no single solution when it comes to alternative energy, but rather the one that best fits each client’s operation. Factors such as autonomy and refueling points are carefully studied when planning each route..
The constant investment in more sustainable transport solutions is already reflected in the company's figures. The adoption of a clean fleet increased the customer base by 30%, according to Vanessa. “As a leader in renewable energy, Brazil has a key role to play in accelerating decarbonization, and this is Reiter’s focus. We see how committed companies are and we are confident that we will make significant progress on this path with the introduction of heavy-duty electric vehicles, especially in terms of load capacity.”, explains Vinicius.
