Renault is preparing to launch the new Renault Clio 2024 to challenge Fiat's leadership, promising innovative design, advanced engines and various technologies.

Renault is presenting the fifth generation of Clio as model year 2024. Launched in 1990, more than 16 million units of this line have already been sold, in 33 years on the market. According to the Frenchwoman, Renault's new car is the perfect definition of New wave, a renewed cycle in the brand’s design language and nicknamed Renaulution, which seeks to stand out in its elegant style and interior with more refined finishing details.

The new Clio also has its technology updated, which also features an extensive range of powertrains, more than any other model in its category, according to the automaker.

The highlight of Renault's new car is its 145 horsepower E-Tech hybrid version, which delivers the pleasure of driving with economy. Prices vary depending on the country, however the Clio costs between 19 and 23 thousand euros.

The new Clio has a range of engines that use different energy sources. In addition to E-Tech hybrid, also has gasoline and diesel-only or gasoline (LPG) options, with different power ratings making it possible to choose the configuration according to your demands. An environmentally friendly driving assistant for all powertrain options tells the driver the best ways to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions.

Robust design and many technologies

Renault's new Clio presents significant transformations, especially at the front. The now slimmer headlights are complemented by elegant lines at the bottom and a wide, dotted front grille.

The LED daytime running lights are a highlight, extending from the upper bar of the headlights to the lines leading to the bumper, forming a design that resembles half of a diamond, the brand's symbol. Innovating in design, Renault opted for clearer taillights on the Clio, a choice that is out of the ordinary.

The design of the diffuser on the rear bumper varies depending on the vehicle version and the type of engine, whether conventional or hybrid. In the model shown in the photos, this is the Clio Espirit Alpine, which replaces the RS Line version. Inside, the changes are subtle, maintaining the focus on a vertical screen for the multimedia center, available in 7 or 9,3 inch sizes, and compatible with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The instrument panel is fully digital, offered in 7 or 10 inch displays, depending on the version. Renault highlights among the features of the new Clio the 360º camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant and 18 other driving assistants for a safe and comfortable experience.

Arrival of the Clio on the automotive market

Launched in 1990, the Renault car has maintained a successful trajectory throughout these more than 20 years on the market. To give you an idea, more than 16 million units were sold in 120 countries, which earned it the status of the best-selling French car in history. Each generation brought something new, an improvement over the previous version.

It's been more than 30 years and still, the model continues to be iconic in most countries in which it was launched. All his efforts were recognized. The Clio was voted Car of the Year in Europe twice, a success that continues today. 1.400 units are produced daily at Renault units.
