Global growth and presence in Brazil
Yandex is expanding its ecosystem outside the axis United States/Europe, where giants like Google and Microsoft reign. In Brazil, since 2024, the company has been operating with its digital advertising division, similar to Google Ads, and has adopted the commercial name “Yango” here.
Today, Yandex has 100 thousand employees and ended 2024 with an impressive revenue of $ 72 billion, although still below Alphabet's (Google) numbers.
Why Brazil?
Yandex's interest in Brazil reflects a growth strategy focused on emerging markets and less directly aligned with Western powers. For the Brazilian government, the movement is a opportunity to diversify technological partnerships and strengthen the local digital ecosystem.
The Russian giant makes it clear:
“We are always open to discussing digital market trends and sharing our experience.”
