About SAMU

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU 192) is one of the components of the Ministry of Health's National Emergency Policy and forms part of the Mobile Pre-Hospital Care Network for emergency care.

SAMU's emergency care is characterized by the early search for the victim after an incident that affects their health, whether clinical, surgical, traumatic or psychiatric in nature.

This type of care reduces or prevents the worsening of the victim's condition, avoiding after-effects, suffering or even death, through appropriate care or transportation. SAMU is free, operates 24 hours a day by providing guidance and sending vehicles manned by trained personnel.
