According to Wagnão, president of the ABC Metallurgist Union, Caoa will start hiring around 750 workers who, added to the 600 employees who remained working on the truck assembly line and with other workers who were dismissed in recent months, should add up to 1.800 jobs. work to run the new owner's factory.

The trade unionist also stated that Ford will keep manufacturing the trucks in São Bernardo (SP) until the end of October, and from then on, Caoa should take over operations.

Caoa will continue manufacturing Ford trucks under the licensing regime, paying royalties to the North American automaker.
