Raízen, after laying the cornerstone of the fourth ethanol plant of Second Generation, is building its new ethanol plant “adjacent” to the Parque de Bionergia Barra, in Barra Bonita, in the interior of SP, with a forecast for the start of operations and job distribution for the year 2024.

Economic development and job creation
The new ethanol plant will also contribute to the development of the city's economy, with job creation, increase in collection in the municipality and will also contribute to the financial boost in regional trade. By the end of the construction of the ethanol plant, 170 direct and 700 indirect jobs will be generated.
In order to achieve this goal, Raízen entered into a partnership with the Economic Development Department of Barra Bonita for courses at SENAI and SENAC, aimed at technical training for the jobs that will be offered.
Professional training
Technical schools for specific courses will also be created to meet new professional demands. Also, the new plant will come with an attraction for hotel chains, sporadic housing and restaurants, which should be installed in the region to meet the demand of new people arriving due to the services and jobs generated.
