Sign up for the free course for tutors: Universidade Estadual-UEPG offers vacancies for training in inclusive education in the online modality (EAD) and national certification.

The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), through its Center for Technology and Open and Distance Education (NUTEAD), published the Notice 610/24 protocols for selective process of the extension course Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education. This free course offers an excellent opportunity for professional development, with a focus on continuing education. Aimed at distance tutors, the course provides pedagogical support to students through the online education system (EAD) and is aligned with the commitment to promoting inclusive education.

The main objective of the course is train tutors remotely to act in monitoring and guiding students in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), using the Moodle platform. Tutoring involves supporting students in activities, mediating the teaching-learning process and encouraging student autonomy.

The free course is completely online (EAD) and the weekly workload required for tutoring is 20 hours, which allows flexibility for the professionals working on the project. Activities include meetings with teachers, support for students and participation in training activities, such as seminars and teaching practices.

Available vacancies and locations

The notice provides for the creation of a reserve list for the role of distance tutor, with calls being made according to the needs of the course. In addition, 25% of vacancies are reserved for affirmative actions, including black, indigenous, mixed race, disabled, transgender or transvestite candidates, according to the criteria of self-declaration and submission of the necessary documentation. The free course will be offered online (EAD), with UEPG as its administrative headquarters.

Selection process

A team of the tutors will be made based on a curriculum analysis, following the scoring detailed in the notice. The evaluation criteria include professional and academic experience, with emphasis on those who have already worked in Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) or have specific training in the area of โ€‹โ€‹special education.

The selection process also includes the analysis of supporting documents that must be attached at the time of registration. In addition, there is a hetero-identification procedure for candidates who opt for reserved vacancies. The selection process takes place in eliminatory and classificatory stages, with the analysis of the curriculum being the main evaluation factor.

Requirements for enrolling in the free course

Candidates interested in the selection process must have higher education in Pedagogy, Special Education or any degree, in addition to at least one year of experience in primary or higher education. It is also necessary to prove experience in Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) and to have completed a training course for tutors or in using the Moodle platform.

Since this is a distance learning course, it is essential that candidates have access to the internet and a computer to carry out the required activities. It is important to remember that it is not permitted to accumulate scholarships funded by Capes/CNPq, except for postgraduate students.

Selection process schedule

Pay attention to the State University's selection process schedule:

  • Registration Period: October 21, 2024 to November 4, 2024
  • Publication of the Heteroidentification Notice: November 6 of 2024
  • Final Result (after document analysis): After November 13, 2024
