The State University of Maranhão (UEMA) has launched the call for applications Simplified Selection Process to fill 657 remaining vacancies in various free in-person undergraduate courses for the first semester of 2025. Candidates will be selected based on their scores in the National High School Exam (ENEM) in the 2023 or 2024 editions.

Objective of courses and activities
The free undergraduate courses offered by Universidade Estadual-UEMA aim to train qualified professionals for the job market and for exercising citizenship. In-person activities include theoretical and practical classes, research and extension projects, supervised internships and complementary activities.

Who can apply?
Candidates who have completed high school and participated in the ENEM 2023 or 2024, with a score equal to or higher than 300 points in the objective tests and a score other than zero in the essay can apply. Refugees in vulnerable situations can also apply, using the highest score obtained in the ENEM from 2023 onwards.
Registration and schedule
Registration for free undergraduate courses can be completed from February 20 to March 7, 2025, exclusively online, on the website (click here). The registration fee is R$50,00 and payment can be made until March 10, 2025.
