Stellantis is ready to shake up the Brazilian market with a Chinese model that promises to beat BYD! With impressive autonomy and innovative design, the car could be the main protagonist of electric vehicles in Brazil.

Stellantis, an automotive giant known for brands such as Fiat and Citroën, is about to change the SUV landscape in Brazil.

In an audacious strategy, the company will bring to the country the Leapmotor C10, an electric SUV of Chinese origin, with the aim of displacing the BYD, currently dominant in the market.

What makes this move even more intriguing is the fact that the C10 is not just a new model, but a true challenge to the status quo of the Brazilian electrical industry.

New competitor in the Brazilian market

The Leapmotor C10, which will begin to be sold in Brazil in 2025, is already generating great expectations. Although the official launch has not yet been confirmed, the model is already in evidence on the Chinese brand's hotsite aimed at the Brazilian market. Stellantis is testing prototypes of the C10, in addition to the T03 electric hatch, which also promises new features for the sector.

Features and performance of the Leapmotor C10

The C10 will be positioned in the medium SUV segment, featuring robust dimensions measuring 4,74 meters in length, 1,90 meters in width, 1,68 meters in height and 2,82 meters in wheelbase. In terms of engine, the electric model has rear-wheel drive and an engine that delivers 231 hp of power, with a torque of 32,6 kgfm.

In the Chinese market, the C10 offers two battery options: one with 52,9 kWh and another with 69,9 kWh. The version intended for Brazil it should be the one with the highest capacity, providing a range of up to 530 km in the Chinese CLTC cycle. In the Brazilian PBEV standard, this translates into a range of approximately 357 km on a full charge, offering competitive performance.

Model design and technology

The design of the Leapmotor C10 is striking. At the front, the SUV stands out for its LED headlights connected by a light bar and a hood that is aligned parallel to the ground. The lower bumper is finished in black with prominent vertical air intakes.

On the sides, the C10 features creases at the bottom of the doors and recessed door handles, while the bodywork displays simulated moldings on the wheel arches. At the rear, the taillights are thin and horizontal, extending across the trunk lid, all lit by LEDs.

Comfort and internal technology

The interior of the Leapmotor C10 is equally impressive. The SUV offers a high-quality finish, with a 10,25-inch digital instrument panel and a 14,6-inch multimedia center, which can be operated by voice commands. Among the comfort items, the front seats with electrical adjustments and air conditioning vents for rear seat passengers stand out.

What do you think of the arrival of the Leapmotor C10 in Brazil? Do you believe that the new Chinese SUV will be able to displace BYD and change the landscape of electric vehicles in the country?
