It doesn't break easily. I use 205 tires, the original ones were 215. It's tough for everyday use and tough to break too.
As for performance, with gasoline full of alcohol, I only get about 8 km/l.

I'm on my third Suzuki. I had a 93 Vitara, a 95 Samurai and now I have a 10/11 Jimny, with 46 thousand km. I put in off-road shock absorbers, raised the wheelbase 2 inches and changed to Maxxis tires, which are more suitable for dirt and mud. They are strong vehicles and not very expensive to maintain. I like them a lot and recommend them.

The Jimny does not have “on demand” 4×4 traction as described. It has 4×4 traction and 4×4 reduced traction selectable by buttons on the dashboard. They are different things. On demand is normally a vehicle with front wheel drive and as demand arises the rear wheel drive is activated.
In other words, it's useless, and it's what equips most of these pseudo SUVs out there.
